When does Relay capture audio?
Relay captures audio only while you press and hold its recording key. It is not designed to be always listening or recording in the background.
That interaction is intentional. You decide when to start a voice input, then release the key when you are finished speaking.

What context can Relay use?
Context is optional and local to your Mac. You can manually review, edit, or delete the context Relay has access to.
When you choose to share it, context can include information such as the active window or selected content. Relay does not need that information for every voice input; it is only available when you enable and share it.

What happens to processing data?
To process a request, audio and any context you choose to share pass through Relay to the model providers that handle the request. Relay does not retain that processing data.
